Just wondering what users thought about qt programming?

LXDE is a gtk DE and will be in GambOS and in Orca. So I was wondering if there would be any interest in a distro with a qt desktop like maybe Razor qt. To show off qt apps made in Gambas3.

Let me know if this would be of any interest to you guys. If there is, I would consider looking into it. Project Skipjack would be a good name I think……

I, for one, would like to see a QT4 based distro. I've never cared for the look of GTK based apps, and all my Gambas projects are designed for QT4 based environments.

Both would be good, if they could be adequately maintained. Personally, I try and make all my applications use the GUI-switcher component and work with both GTK and QT.

Spent the last few days researching desktops for the QT guys. Lots and lots of test installs and trying different things. For the short term I can do a dual desktop install of LXDE and Razor QT for the GambOS version. This way a user can login to a GTK or a QT desktop, their choice.

So the OS can stay this way as a development platform or we can split them off from each other.

Let me hear what you guys think about this.

Perfect, user choice, as well as a good environment for testing!  

It is all setup and installed for the alpha 3 version. Now I just have to get Willys stuff installed so I can make an image of it for testing.

How can Alpha 3 be ready if:
- ShowCaseMetaPackager Alpha 3 is not released?

We really need to test a complete process there before I release it….
